Stuffing
Pecan Turkey Stuffing
12 cups fresh white bread cubes
1’1/2 cup BASS PECAN PIECES
½ cup parsley (chopped)
1 Tbsp poultry seasoning
2 tsp salt
½ tsp pepper
½ cup butter
3 cups celery (chopped)
1 cup onion (chopped)
1) In large bowl, combine bread cubes, BASS PECAN PIECES, parsley, poultry seasoning, salt, pepper; toss to mix well.
2) In hot butter in medium skillet, sauté celery onion until golden – 7 to 10 minutes.
3) Add to bread mixture; toss lightly until well mixed.
Use to fill prepared turkey. Makes enough to stuff a 16 lb turkey.
Pecan Rice Stuffing
1 cup butter
1 cup onion (chopped)
1 cup celery (chopped)
¼ cup parsley (minced)
8 cups cooked rice (cooked in chicken broth)
2 cups BASS PECAN PIECES
2 tsp thyme
1/1-2 tsp salt
1 tsp celery seed
1 tsp sage
½ tsp ground cloves
½ tsp pepper
½ tsp nutmeg
Melt butter in a Dutch oveN. Add onion, celery and parsley. Sauté over low heat until tender, stirring constantly. Add cooked rice, BASS PECAN PIECES and seasonings. Toss together lightly. Makes enough stuffing for a 12 to 16 lb turkey.
