Bass Pecan Recipe Blog
Down here in the South, we were putting ice in our coffee long before anybody knew to call it a frappe, and we don't sweat - we glow. We add sugar to our tea while it's still hot, then serve it over ice. We invented this 'sweet tea' because in the days before air conditioning, a sugar bowl on the table attracted flies and ants into the house! Though often we're portrayed as wildly romantic, Southerners are the most practical people in the world. We eat what grows in abundance, like our favorite native nut, pecans.
There's no dish that cannot gain healthy good taste with the addition of pecans, and Bass Pecan is proving it every week. The 2009 Bass Pecan Recipe Contest is in full swing (Click here to go to Recipe Contest) and we've started a blog to make it interactive. (Click here to go to Recipe Blog).
Why a Pecan Recipe Blog? Because we want you to:
- get involved, try the recipes and send in some of your own.
- send us your comments and questions, kudos and critiques about the recipes.
- help us spread the word about the healthy heart benefits of pecans.
- contribute to the definitive web collection of pecan recipes.
